Sepik River trekking, Papua New Guinea
Highly recommended destination for exploring jungles and tribes of New Guinea. If you start from Vanimo, it will take around 1 week trekking from village to village through jungle. There will be lot of river crossing and one serious mountain ridge on the way.

When Planets wildest animals walk around your car.. in Germany
Serengeti-Park Hodenhagen, Germany. We could not believe Africa and its wild animals will come so close to us in middle of Germany. Automatic gate was closing, sharp spikes crossed the road and we appeared in trap – four of us against hundreds and hundreds of wild safari animals. Our only protection was thin sides of … Continue reading When Planets wildest animals walk around your car.. in Germany
Kalimantan rain forest and orang utans
… Continue reading Kalimantan rain forest and orang utans
Dar es Salaam – Zanzibar – Stone Town – Indian Ocean
Iepriekšējo dienu lielo pārbraucienu nogurdināti, ieslēgušies ar visām mūsu durvīs paredzētajām atslēgām, grasījāmies ieslīgt veselīgā bērna miegā. Taču… kas tev deva! Dar es Salaam jau piecos rītā atgādināja, ka gandrīz 90% no šīs miljonu pilsētas iedzīvotājiem ir musulmaņi. Nespēdami atteikt mullas kaismīgajam aicinājumam, izgājām ielās. Mums bija jānoskaidro, no kurienes kursē prāmji uz Zanzibāras salu … Continue reading Dar es Salaam – Zanzibar – Stone Town – Indian Ocean
Latvians climb OlDoinyo Lengai – only active volcano of Africa
Latvieši kāpj OlDoinyo Lengai – vienīgajā pašlaik aktīvajā Āfrikas vulkānā. Āfrikas ekspedīcijas dienasgrāmata turpinās! Lasiet KLUBS marta numuru, kas interneta versijā pārpublicēts www.adventurerace.lv: Bet te ieskatam daudz vairāk fotogrāfijas, kas KLUBĀ nav publicētas: Pirmkārt – par pašu vulkānu. Tas nav pieminēts gandrīz nevienā ceļvedī. Kad Google satelītkartē ieraudzīju šādu vulkānu grupu, sāku par to interesēties … Continue reading Latvians climb OlDoinyo Lengai – only active volcano of Africa
Manyara Lake and Ngorongoro crater – enjoy wildlife colours of savanna
Pēc veiksmīgās Ol Doinyo Lengai vulkāna iekarošanas turpinājām virzīties uz dienvidiem pa Āfrikas Lielo Lūzumzonu. Aiz muguras palika Natrona ezers ar rozā flamingo bariem, bet priekšā stiepās bezgalīga izdegusi savanna. Vienīgie objekti te bija milzu termītu mājokļi. Mums pa labi zili melnā dūmakā pacēlās milzu vulkānu sablīvējums – aiz OlDoinyo Lengai klasiskā silueta slējās Empakaai … Continue reading Manyara Lake and Ngorongoro crater – enjoy wildlife colours of savanna
