6 hiking routes in Crimea mountains
This is the airport of Simferopol where our seven-day adventure in post-Soviet Crimea began. The old – good buildings of sanatoriums were waiting of us. Certainly we could not afford to live in Hotel Yalta, but spending the night under the bridge was something we also did not want (text ” we rent an appartment” … Continue reading 6 hiking routes in Crimea mountains
Searching for savage in North jungle of Laos
Some informed people told us that a real and authentic primitiveness in Southeast Asia can be still found only in the north uplands of Laos. Arriving at Bangkok, we immediately looked for options to go further north. So we bought tickets to the first local flight, that would lead us north – to the provincial … Continue reading Searching for savage in North jungle of Laos
Li river basin in China – most impressive karst caves in the World
Continue reading Li river basin in China – most impressive karst caves in the World
Takla Makan – who comes in, never comes out.. – MOVIES
Takla Makans. Continue reading Takla Makan – who comes in, never comes out.. – MOVIES
Manyara Lake and Ngorongoro crater – enjoy wildlife colours of savanna
Pēc veiksmīgās Ol Doinyo Lengai vulkāna iekarošanas turpinājām virzīties uz dienvidiem pa Āfrikas Lielo Lūzumzonu. Aiz muguras palika Natrona ezers ar rozā flamingo bariem, bet priekšā stiepās bezgalīga izdegusi savanna. Vienīgie objekti te bija milzu termītu mājokļi. Mums pa labi zili melnā dūmakā pacēlās milzu vulkānu sablīvējums – aiz OlDoinyo Lengai klasiskā silueta slējās Empakaai … Continue reading Manyara Lake and Ngorongoro crater – enjoy wildlife colours of savanna
Sahara: seaside, Atlas mountains, Medina, El Jem, on the way…
Continue reading Sahara: seaside, Atlas mountains, Medina, El Jem, on the way…
Hwy-1: California First road – 400 picturesque miles by Pacific ocean
Tieši uz Neatkarības dienu – 4. jūliju, bijām veiksmīgi tikuši laukā no Josemītu aizām. TĀ diena mūs gluži negaidīti pārsteidza Kalifornijas vīna paradīzē – Napas ielejā. Ar lielu tautas staigāšanu un salūtiem. Tiesa, gaisā virmoja baumas, ka uguņošanu kuplināt gatavojas arī Bin Ladens, taču vīna laukos prom no lielajām pilsētām mēs jutāmies salīdzinoši droši. … Continue reading Hwy-1: California First road – 400 picturesque miles by Pacific ocean
